Moya Networks is an African Submarine and Terrestrial network aggregator providing service providers and businesses around the globe with telecommunications services to securely and transparently transport business-critical data across International telecommunications networks.
Moya is developing an international ecosystem of internet, telecom, hosting, colocation and cloud service providers that collaborate to create a next-generation network connecting users, partners and customers to their apps and resources in a path-aware, high-availability, high-performance, and secure manner.
Moya has obtained Tier 1 capacity rights on the Africa Coast to Europe Submarine Cable (ACE),the PEACE Submarine Cable and the WACS Submarine Cable System. In addition, Moya has obtained Tier 1 capacity rights on several Southern African terrestrial fibre providers.
AFRICA COAST TO EUROPE
The ACE Submarine Cable system serves 20 countries on the west coast of Africa and Europe. Africa Coast to Europe or ACE is the only submarine cable system serving 24 countries on the west coast of Africa and Europe. The Major landing points are South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal and France.
PEACE
The PEACE cable will be operational in 1Q 2022. When complete, the high-speed PEACE cable system will offer the shortest routes from China to Europe and Africa, interconnecting three of the world’s most populous continents whilst at the same time dramatically reducing latency,
WACS
WACS is a 14,500km submarine fibre cable that stretches from South Africa to Portugal and onto the UK. It has 14 landing points, 12 along the western coast of Africa (including Cape Verde and Canary Islands) and 2 in Europe (Portugal and England)
Moya recognized it would be challenging to manage at the same time the long-haul Submarine Cable connections and the hardware logistics of creating Points of Presence in multiple countries, so it chose to virtualize its Points of Presence (PoPs) utilizing the ConsoleConnect network of PCCW and other ISPs at PoPs around the world. The company has full control over the capacity it buys on a Mbps level. Moya Networks intends to become a global International transit provider and with the global reach of ACE, WACS and PEACE Submarine Networks it will succeed in that vision as it adds new Submarine Cables to its portfolio.
